What Montager creates
Montager is video-production software. From a written premise that the customer types themselves, it produces a short narrated video: stylized, illustrated storyboard images, synthetic narration, and subtitles. Customers use it to make videos for their own channels and audiences. It is sold as subscription software with prepaid usage credits.
What Montager does not do
- No face swapping. The product has no face-swap capability of any kind.
- No deepfakes. There is no way to depict a real, identifiable person in an image or video.
- No voice cloning or impersonation. Narration uses only the licensed, synthetic stock voices provided by Google's text-to-speech models. Users cannot upload voice samples or imitate any real person's voice.
- No likeness generation. Users cannot upload photographs of people. All imagery is generated from text descriptions as stylized illustration; the product accepts no real-person reference material.
- No adult content. Sexual or pornographic content is blocked at the model level and prohibited by these terms.
Safety filtering at every step
All generation runs through major providers' safety systems, which Montager does not and cannot disable: images are produced by OpenAI image models (served via fal) behind OpenAI's content safety filters, and scripts and narration are produced by Google Gemini models behind Google's safety policies. Prompts or outputs that violate those policies are blocked and the generation fails — Montager surfaces the failure rather than working around it.
Human review before publication
Nothing is published automatically. Every video is assembled in Montager's editor, where the customer sees and can change every image and the full narration script. Publishing a video anywhere — including the built-in YouTube upload — is a deliberate action taken by the customer after reviewing the finished result.
Prohibited use
Customers may not use Montager to create content that:
- depicts or imitates a real, identifiable person — their face, voice, or likeness — with or without consent;
- deceives, defames, harasses, or impersonates anyone;
- is sexual, exploitative, or harmful to minors in any way;
- promotes violence or hatred against people or groups;
- infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property rights.
Violations result in suspension or termination of the account. We review reports and act on them promptly.
Reporting
