Montager — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 June 2026 · Contact: hello@montager.app · Terms of Service · Refund Policy · Content Policy
Montager (“we”, “the service”) turns a text premise into a short narrated video and can publish that video to one or more YouTube channels you connect. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. The service is operated by Emre Tokerler (see Terms).
Information we collect
- Account: your Google sign-in identifier and email address (via Firebase Authentication).
- Billing: purchases are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle handles your payment details; we never see your full card number. We receive transaction and subscription status (what was bought, when, and for which account) to credit your account, and we keep a ledger of your credit balance and usage.
- YouTube connection: when you connect a channel, an OAuth refresh token (Google user data) plus that channel’s id and title. We support connecting more than one channel; we store one token per connected channel.
- Content: the premises you submit, any reference images you upload, and the videos generated for you.
How we use it
Solely to operate the service for you:
- generate videos using our AI providers (fal, Google Gemini), operated under our own accounts;
- credit your account and meter usage when you buy and spend credits;
- when you choose to publish, upload a video to the YouTube channel you select (scope
youtube.upload); - read the name and id of the channels you connect so the app can show them and let you pick one (scope
youtube.readonly); - show you the performance (views, watch time, retention) of videos you have published through Montager, inside the app (scope
yt-analytics.readonly).
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or use it to train models. We do not use YouTube data for any purpose other than the features you invoke.
Google user data — Limited Use
Montager’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
YouTube API Services
Montager uses YouTube API Services. By connecting a channel you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google’s use of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Montager requests only the scopes listed above. You can review and revoke Montager’s access at any time at Google account permissions, or by clicking Disconnect on a channel in Montager Settings.
Where it is stored
- YouTube refresh tokens are stored encrypted in Google Secret Manager and are never shown back to you or exposed to other users.
- Videos, posters, and uploaded reference images are stored in private Google Cloud Storage and accessed through short-lived signed links.
- Account, billing ledger, and channel metadata are stored in Google Firestore.
- Payment records are held by Paddle under Paddle’s privacy policy.
Retention and deletion
You can disconnect a YouTube channel (which deletes that channel’s stored token) or delete individual videos at any time. Deleting your account in Settings permanently removes all YouTube refresh tokens, your videos and uploaded images, and your account record. Transaction records may be retained by Paddle and by us as required for tax and accounting law. Revoking access from your Google account permissions immediately invalidates the stored token.
Sharing
We do not share your personal data or Google user data with third parties, except: the infrastructure providers that run the service on our behalf (Google Cloud / Firebase), the AI providers we use to generate your content (fal, Google Gemini), and Paddle for payment processing.
Children
Montager is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
